SHAYDE
Creative contrasts build the base here. Richard Hötter grew up playing piano and organ, while Philipp Lenz approached first Heavy Metal and then Techno through his older brother. At a young age Lenz made his first experience with Roland-built MC 303 and 505. He studied sound engineering and works as an audio engineer in Frankfurt am Main/Germany. Hötter and him got to know each other through Richard’s elder brother. They instantly noticed their common passion for eclectic sounds. Lenz though takes care of the techniques at Shayde, while Hötter contributes harmonies. Both of them refuse to be put in any musical corset. They start their work with open- minded jams and allow their state of mind to influence their music. The result is sometimes funny and cool, sometimes melancholic and grim. Most of the time it is crazy.
DELENZ
Turbolenz Records’ mastermind Philipp Lenz will soon make his solo debut on his own label, after being featured on Ellen Aliens BPitch Control with Berlin-based producer Kiki and on Connaisseur Recordings with Shayde, Lenz’ duo project with his sidekick Richard Hötter. As Delenz Philipp will mainly work with four-four times, filter waves and sound samples, trying to make a 116 bpm beat sound like Techno and forming a balance out of monotony, harmony and rigor.
